TURN UP THE THERMOSTAT By simply using a ceiling fan, you can raise the thermostat on your air conditioning by three to four degrees and you won’t notice a difference in comfort. Here’s a table to help you decide what size fan you need:  If you want to stay cool but don’t want your papers blowing everywhere, you might try a larger blade. A larger blade gives you comparable cooling at a lower speed than a smaller blade.
