From changing your ceiling fan direction to ceiling fans with LED light, we have tips on how to save money with an energy efficient ceiling fan. TURN UP THE THERMOSTAT By simply using a ceiling fan, you can raise the thermostat on your air conditioning by three to four degrees and you won’t notice a difference in comfort. Ceiling fans help circulate air and create a draft in the room. This means your air conditioner doesn’t have to work as hard and you save up to 47% on cooling costs. (This depends on local climate conditions and energy rates. Still– not bad, right?) During moderate weather – that perfect temperature of not too hot, not too cold – using your ceiling fans may allow you to not turn on the air conditioner all together. Bonus tip: Want to save 15% on your heating costs in the winter? Reverse the ceiling fan direction so it goes clockwise (there’s a small switch on the fan’s body or you can hold the fan button down on our handheld remote). It creates an upward draft and sends warm air throughout the room. LEAVING? DON’T LEAVE THE FAN ON. Fans cool people, not rooms. You’ll hear our experts at Hunter say this a lot. Ceiling fans create a wind chill effect. What’s that? Glad you asked. A ceiling fan makes you feel cooler by speeding up the evaporation of perspiration on your skin. For example, if the thermostat in your room is set to 27 degrees, running the fan could make you feel as if it’s 22 degrees. THE PERFECT FIT If your fan is too small, it won’t move enough air. Too big, and it could move too much air (brrr). Here’s a table to help you decide what size fan you need: If you want to stay cool but don’t want your papers blowing everywhere, you might try a larger blade. A larger blade gives you comparable cooling at a lower speed than a smaller blade.
ENERGY EFFICIENT LIGHTING Green as in energy efficient, of course. Switch out those traditional incandescent bulbs in your ceiling fan for LED bulbs. Simply put– less energy and more money savings! Original Source of this article https://blog.hunterfan.com/saving-the-earth-one-fan-at-a-time/

Up in the beautiful township of Byron Bay, the owners of the Byron Fresh Café in the main street decided both their patrons and workers needed to be able to enjoy their coffees in comfort. To help them, the café consulted local Byron Bay business "Lightworks" to help solve the problem, and as a result they have installed a combination of Atlas Melody wall fans and Atlas Diane directional ceiling fans, strategically placed around the café to help move the air.

Finally we have our showroom fully set up. It has only taken twelve months, but we now have nearly one example of every Hunter and Atlas fan on display at our office in Ringwood. We all know that online sales are growing, but people still like to see the product in real life before they purchase, and not all Lighting Stores have the room to have every fan, from every supplier on display. So we decided the roof of our office was doing nothing, so why not fill it with fans. Now if you canot find one of our fans on display at your nearest retailer, and you can get to Ringwood, give us a call and come and see the full range on display.

Did you know your ceiling fan can actually keep you warmer in Winter? In winter we typically close up our houses and heat them. This creates limited circulation resulting in warm air rising to the ceiling and cool air pooling on the floor. Unfortunately we spend most of our time in the cool air closer to the floor leading to our turning up the thermostat to ensure the space we inhabit is comfortable. In rooms with high ceilings this effect is particularly apparent. To find out how you use your ceiling fan to keep warmer read on.
